Well, have polished off the Zingermans gift basket. With help. The coffee cake is yummy, as is the chocolate chunk sourdough bread. It is best when warmed up in the oven for 20 minutes, but isn't bad either when you're starving and wanting immediate food. It's an interesting mix of chocolate and tanginess.
My father got the Zingermans basket and was happy about it. I keep meaning to call him, but haven't recently. It is three hours time difference which isn't helping. He left a message on my voicemail that talked about the floods that they've been having in the Northeast. The vegetarian friendly and all around good restaurant that I loved in upstate New York also flooded.
Just finished Nick Hornby's How to be Good which I really liked, Elizabeth Wurtzel's Prozac Nation which is interesting though hard to read, and Lynne Truss's follow up to Eats, Shoots and Leaves, Talk to the Hand because I needed something fun, not deep.
I kind of now want to see the movie Prozac Nation, though I don't understand how it can be a movie. All the movies I'd like to see noone else does, or are too sad. Eat, Drink, Man Woman, Better Luck Tomorrow, Joy Luck Club, Mind the Gap or Dot the I. There is an Asian theme going on. Well, having read the book, now I'd like to see the movie of Joy Luck Club. Or watch more murder mysteries. Guess I'll wait until mid July. Am running out of films that I haven't seen. Or feels like. And I'd even like to rent the sequel to the Cutting Edge film which is completely cheesy. Should go to bed. Kinda tired.
Am in puttering, reordering books, and trying to clear surfaces mood. Heaven help us.
Need to go get my eyes checked in a massive way.

I've been meaning to read Talk to the Hand...did you enjoy it?
I liked it a little less than Eats, Shoots and Leaves because it was such a classic. I read both quickly. There were some moments that I thought were very well done and parts where I laughed out loud. If you'd like to borrow it, I'm not going to need it all that soon.
