More tv. rants. I think there should be a law that no depressing episodes of shows or movies should be allowed at stupid o'clock in the morning. (I.e. 3-5). Only happy fun episodes or happy movies. You know the episode of Buffy with the Band Candy or the puppet Angel episode. Or Singing in the Rain or Thin Man or even the Jerk. Last night while I was up they had a episode regarding typhoid fever on Little House on the Prairie. Oh great typhoid, exactly what I need right now. Okay, the number of depressing eps. of Little House is large, (the addiction to morphine, blindness, the rape, the awful one where Ma almost loses her leg, fill in appropriate upsetting moment here.) But it happens on other shows like the almost rape of Edith on All in the Family or the one where Beverly Edith's drag friend dies right before Christmas. And why show Boys Don't Cry at 4-6 on Bravo? Or like the abuse ep. of Designing Women. Stop with the very special episodes right now.

Barb, how can watching an episode of Little House on the Prairie at 3 in the morning be anything BUT depressing?
(unless there's one where pa gives Almonzo a spongebath, but I don't think they made that episode.)
