--A new DVD player to replace the el crappo one I bought at Tar-shay for 40 and died outside of the bounds of the warranty and didn't get enough use out of. I have a Sony which was the same one I had before.
--A new vacuum that I have not completely put together because I do not have the right Phillips screwdriver. It's a light mauve or deep purple. It's a lighter version of a lipstick I used to have in college.
--A new car battery as mine died on Friday night. Got it attempted to jump and nada. And then called Triple AAA and while the guy was getting it hooked up, I tripped the alaram and couldn't get it off. Lasted three years. Had to go up to Scottsdale on a Saturday. Way the fuck up the 101.
--A black fluffy cat with a white diamond on his chest. Was a rescue and was probably abandoned as he is definitely not feral and is likely neutered. However, I thought he was a female, so named him tentatively Emily Rose. After the vet visit where I found out that he was a she, I figured I should begin looking for a slightly more butch name. Alistair at the moment is in one of the ones I'm considering. He is way mellow and I've been calling him my stoner cat. Can't think of any good "stoner" names. The only one that springs to mind is the lead singer from Crosby, Stills and Nash and am not going to go there.
And things that have left the building:
--my old dead stereo that would have donated to Goodwill, but the cd thing wasn't working and it is 12 years old.
--the dvd player mentioned previously
--the vacuum that has gone into the light
