Now I'm thinking of the Viking Kittens thing from the rather good people cause it uses the Immigrant's song in it. Almost as good as that one is the "Fell in love with a girl" by the White Stripes played by a kitten band. Though they took away the Viking Kittens with the "Immigrant's Song" which is annoying as that's their best one. Curse them.

This is a bit too post-modern even for me. I'm all fine with the decentring of the text or whatever you call it, but there are limits. I dowloaded one cd of Goblet of Fire because as you recall the cd player is still toast and I was taking my computer with me to my conference. I figured if I was going to be stuck in an airport I could listen to Harry and all. The problem was that the downloads shifted all around the order of the book. This meant that I was listening to parts of the chapter out of sequence. Happily I know the book well, but it was still disquieting. Wait, where are we in the story? What is also disturbing is when you're playing music on i-tunes and you get Stephen Fry reading dramatically. Woah, wasn't it The Immigrant's Song just a minute ago? I need some sort of narrative here.
