One of the very memorable movies from my teenaged years. We watched it way too much. How young they look and how attractive they all look, though Rob Lowe looks a bit lost in thought. Ford Coppola has recut it and it's being re-released into the theaters. I may go if it comes out here.

This is interesting to see in terms of how book covers change with the times and what they emphasize and what they don't. The version that I read it was old as I read it during 7th grade but I have the movie tie-in book with the sunset framed by C. Thomas Howell.
